On September 17th, preschool families gathered for the highly anticipated ‘Fall Family Fiesta’ at Roy G. Eversole Elementary. The event provided an opportunity for families to connect, engage in their children’s learning, and enjoy an afternoon filled with festivities. Families explored sensory stations showcasing what students are learning in the classroom, and they had the chance to sit down for a delicious fajita meal, complete with chips and salsa, catered by Sazon's.

Many families took advantage of the photo booth to capture special moments together. As the afternoon wrapped up, attendees were sent home with a swag bag brimming with educational resources designed to help their children prepare for kindergarten, thanks to the support of the Full Service Community School (FSCS) grant.

The success of this event was made possible by the collaboration of Roy G. Eversole preschool teachers and staff, the Family Resource and Youth Services Center, Save the Children, Eastern Streams Early Childhood Council, RGE cafeteria & janitorial staff, Hazard High School student tutors, Hazard Independent School District administrators and the FSCS program. We will soon reach out to families unable to attend to share these valuable resources.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to planning and organizing this wonderful event and the families who made it a success! 💙💛
